Employee Benefit Ideas

It is getting harder and harder to keep good employees. I gathered some ideas from Fortunes top 100 companies to work for as there is always something to learn from people doing it right. 

FedEx - No layoff policy
Deloitte & Touche - consultants spend one day a year helping non-profits solve business problems.
Baptist Health South Fl. – Unusual benefits - $10,000 adoption aid, three child-care centers, and nursing retention bonuses.
PwC – Picks up $75 worth of cell or blackberry bill a month.
Four Seasons Hotel – Each location has an employee of the month, and the employee of the year gets $1000 and a trip for two, and an extra week’s vacation.
Microsoft – Health care costs covered for entire family, 2,300 courses offered for free, training consumes 3% of budget.
AstraZeneca – HQ offers onsite haircuts, video rentals, massages, tennis and basketball courts, plus a Bright Horizons child-care center.
Booz Allen Hamilton – 10% of employees’ pay goes into 401K, regardless of whether they contribute.
Ebay – HQ perks include golf lessons, bike repair, a dentist, plus prayer and meditation rooms. Four-week paid sabbaticals every five years are also offered.
General Mills – After maternity leave, women can come back part-time basis for eight weeks.
KPMG – Five weeks vacation after one year.
National Instruments – Employee appreciation week starts with execs serving breakfast and ends with family outing day.
FactSet Research Systems – Free lunches Monday –Thursday and Wi-Fi laptops for flexwork.
MITRE – Tuition reimbursement up to $20,000 and bonuses for advanced degrees.
Intuit – Four paid days off to perform community service. All new employees get options.
Johnson Financial Group – Six weeks of paid paternity leave, graduate tuition reimbursement to $10,000.
Principal Financial Group – Purchase extra time off, and the majority get retirement benefits of 100% of income.
Google – Full gourmet meals in kitchens. Stock options to 99% of employees.
